Custody

I am available to perform a custody determination procedure and that will lead to a report which may be used in a Court of Law.  As a Court Ordered evaluator, I will make every reasonable attempt to serve the interests of the child or children, and the Court, as an impartial expert rather than as an advocate for any party regardless of the referral source, who made the initial contact, or who ultimately pays for the evaluation. 

My procedure involves a conciliation and evaluation effort, not treatment services.  The goals are to:

• Develop a parenting plan which serves the best interests of the child or children. 

• Reduce existing tensions between the parents/guardians and diminish other harmful family interactions. 

• Provide the attorneys of record or the Court with a comprehensive report including appropriate suggestions for resolving the dispute..

Co-parenting is a special kind of relationship.  It is special because it is required of parents at a time when they might choose to have very little to do with each other.  However, the fact that they have children together demands that there is some form of a co-parenting relationship, preferably an amicable one.

I will help parents:

• Learn ways to share information with each other in a regular and timely way. 

• To never undermine the other parent’s image in the child’s mind.

• Rebuild trust through personal responsibility and accountability.
